Robot Servants – Educational Robots

I think one day, robot servants will be a very normal thing. It’s coming on fast, and will be fun to watch, but some worry it could be horrifying if the computers take over (ie: The Singularity).  For me, there are lots of things to be excited about with respect to Educational Robots and robot servants.  For nowadays, millions of us us have fun toy robots in the home and DIY educational robot kits are even MORE fun.

Our first robot post.  Finally, our first robot post!  Woot.

Could these fun little guys be running the show soon?  Could one of these guys wind up as our BOSS at the office?

He’ll nudge you to play and keep you constantly surprised.  Extremely cute lovable robots are piling up the shelves of children around the globe, rich and poor.  Even now someone on your block has probably bought a robot at some point in their life, perhaps a dozen people on your block HAVE bought robots (for their kids usually).

There’s just something inherently brilliant about ANY sort of robot, but some are absolute junk really.  Spend a tiny bit more and get something educational or with some quality involved.  I can’t say for sure that all these are high quality OR educational, but I am enjoying the exploration.  So far we have 3 fairly substantial robots here in our household.  How many have you got?

A child’s imagination can be empowered with hands on tools to shape objects into actual robots that move and do things.

The possibilities for robotics are as wide open as the mind can imagine, for now, the robot DIY kits are super fun!
